| From Christchurch we drove through Arthur's Pass across the Southern Alps to the west coast of the South Island. These purple wildflowers, known as Lupin, were everywhere on the South Island. They were probably everywhere on the North Island too, but we became so accustomed to seeing them we may not have noticed. | |
